My profession was Clinical Laboratory Scientist, retired from California Hospital Medical Center as Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine Supervisor, worked there for 47 years and considered my job was very rewarding due to saving the lives of several gun shots and stabbed wounds patients by providing our quick response to provide emergency blood transfusion.

Corregidors Lions Club International District 4L3 member and became in charged of City of Hope Committee and actively involved raising funds to built City of Hope Japanese Garden for cancer patients to have a nature strolling garden to walk around and have calming place to relax and meditate.I had State of Calif Real Estate and Insurance licensure but was committed and dedicated to save lives and decided to work in medical profession.I'd been American Association Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine , College of American Pathologist Assessors inspecting hospitals Blood Bank andTransfusion Medicine were in compliance to the regulatory standards requirements prior to licensure certifications.I was a cancer survivor and joined theLater, I joined Asian For Miracle Martow Match, A3M and our focus to recruit many Asian Bone Marrow Donors to be registered in National Marrow Donor Program-NMDP in order for leukemia and other blood cancers patient have more bone marrow donors registered in NMDP Registry for a potential match to cancer patient who needs bone marrow transplant. Every Sunday, went to several Catholic Churches to recruit donors and collect donors blood and registered them in NMDP. The collected blood sample were tested for a minimum 6 basic Human Leukocytes Antigen-HLA markers and registered in NMDPI joined Search To Involve Pilipino Americans "SIPA" as Director of Health and Human Service Program. We provided Alcohol and Drug Abuse prevention and also Mental Rehabilitation programs.My physician requested me to stop volunteerism due to my health conditions.i'm retired now and returned back to volunteerism to serve the community and raise funds for American Cancer Society and Parkinson Disease Foundation.
